As Benjamin Moore narrowed down options for Colour of the Year 2027, the brand realized that green has always been part of the conversation, long maintaining a presence in both interior design and global trends. For 2027, the brand wanted to pick a green that felt fresh and right for the present day, as opposed to a shade that reminisces. Knowing that stability, composure, and an interest in colours with a timeless essence are working their way into the home, Webster Green HC-130 stood out to the brand. Adaptable but impactful, this shade can easily layer into multiple aesthetics and incorporate personality into various designs. The shade, which aims to make a statement while providing some nostalgia from the past, is meant to embrace the present.

In 2027, Dulux says pink will take over as the new, go-to neutral for home decor. As such, Dulux Paints has announced Birthday Cake (DLX1059-2) as its 2027 Colour of the Year. Resembling a soft earthy clay, this grounded, comforting blush pink aims to add subtle sophistication and depth to living spaces while emitting a feeling of calm and tranquility. The shade aims to reflect a cultural shift toward intentional living where people are creating feel-good, nurturing spaces in their homes to recharge. This hue is easy to live with and adds subtle colour without overwhelming a room.
“People today long to rise above the weight of the world and bring more joy into their everyday lives and muted, soothing pink wraps rooms with a sense of optimism, playfulness and emotional well-being that so many of us crave,” said Victoria Mastroianni, senior brand manager for Dulux Paints. “The coming year’s popular shades act as a welcome counterbalance to the constant stimulation of our digital lives. Like dusty rose, they don’t compete for attention; rather, they have a nature-kissed feel that encourages us to slow down, breathe, rediscover simple everyday pleasures and reconnect with what really matters.”

Sherwin-Williams and HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams are joining again to unveil a unified 2027 Colour of the Year: Celery, available as Celery SW 6421 from Sherwin-Williams. Celery is a light and airy herbal green that offers a fresh take on the nature-inspired hues that continue to shape home interiors. Selected by the Sherwin-Williams Trendsight Team, Celery reflects a growing desire for calm connection and fresh perspectives in spaces. The shade aims to bring freshness to otherwise still and settled interiors. The shared Colour of the Year reflects both Sherwin-Williams and HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams’ commitment to colour leadership, while giving homeowners, designers and professionals a source of inspiration for the year ahead.
“Celery was chosen as the 2027 Colour of the Year because it reflects today’s priorities: wellness, balance, and connection,” said Ashley Banbury, colour marketing manager at Sherwin-Williams. “Homeowners and designers are increasingly prioritizing wellness at home, seeking soothing environments that support mental health and overall well-being.”

SICO has announced a rich terracotta brown, Glazed Earth (6066-84) as the brand’s 2027 Colour of the Year. The shade is described as sunbaked earth and rustic clay, steeped with hints of dusty red and orange that emit a cozy and timeless feel. Incorporated in all elements of home decor in the coming year, from floors, walls and ceilings to furnishings and accessories, terracotta brown acts as a core design anchor for the rest of the 2027 colour palette.
“These pigment-infused earthy colours are joyful, comforting, warm and enduring, delivering stability and emotional nourishment that people are craving amid world pressures and digital fatigue,” said Oriana Gagnon Martinez, marketing manager of the Sico brand. “Terracotta is subdued and nurturing rather than loud, reminiscent of natural elements like soil, stone and pottery. An uber warm and welcoming neutral, it fills spaces with relaxed elegance that encourages people to slow down, feel grounded and find strength in the reassuring familiarity of home.”
