Hi Thank you for the drawing. Unfortunately I am not communicating my request for help well. What I am asking is - starting with your design - I want to be able to connect another part to this part. For example I have another (separate) part that holds attachments to a vacuum cleaner (like the short and and long tubes) - which I want to attach to a part similar to the part you drew. The part you drew 'hangs' over the 2x4. Now - what is the best design - to attach other parts which hold things to the part you designed? My attempt to create a connector to other parts is the dovetail part of my design. Is the dovetail notch approach sensible? Thanks!!AJ
