TQ Wuling has officially launched the All-New TQ Wuling Porta EV in Malaysia, marking the brand’s formal entry into the local zero-emissions commercial vehicle segment.
Last month, we were in Liuzhou testing out the Wuling line-up and checked out the Porta EV. Now it’s here in Malaysia with a very attractive price point but in its twin sliding door configuration which was previewed at KLIMS 2026. Distributed under Tan Chong Motor Holdings, the fully electric panel van is engineered specifically for last-mile delivery providers, multinational logistics operators, small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs), and corporate fleet managers seeking lower operating costs and reduced fleet emissions.

Available in two battery range variants, the Porta EV carries an estimated starting price of RM99,800 in Peninsular Malaysia, positioning it as one of the most accessible purpose-built electric commercial vans in the country.
Pricing and Variant Lineup in MalaysiaThe Porta EV is offered in two configurations based on certified CLTC operating ranges, with official commercial registration pricing outlined below:
| Variant (CLTC Range) JPG | Peninsular Malaysia Price JPG | East Malaysia Price JPG |
| Porta EV 300km | RM99,800 (Estimated) | RM102,800 (Estimated) |
| Porta EV 400km | RM105,800 | RM108,800 |
Prices are on-the-road for company commercial registration, excluding insurance.

Bookings are officially open with a RM500 reservation fee via the brand’s portal or across nationwide dealerships. To kick off the launch, TQ Wuling is offering an early-bird promotional package that includes a complimentary 7 kW EV Wallbox Charger worth RM3,500, a free 3-pin portable charging cable, and free scheduled maintenance for up to 3 years or 60,000 km.

The van will also be on public display across selected dealer showrooms on 17 to 18 October 2026.
Commercial Dimensions: Pallet Loading and Dual Sliding DoorsEngineered around daily commercial utility, the Porta EV features a full-size panel van footprint built on an 83% ultra-high-strength steel monocoque chassis:
Electric Drivetrain, MAGIC Battery, and Fast ChargingPropulsion is handled by a high-efficiency 75 kW (102 PS) silicon-carbide (SiC) electric motor driving the rear wheels, delivering 180 Nm of instant torque suited for start-stop city deliveries and heavy cargo loads.

Energy storage is managed by Wuling’s proprietary MAGIC EV Battery system, which features a modular unitised structure that increases structural rigidity by over 60% and allows individual cells to be serviced or replaced independently. Wuling notes that this modular serviceability can slash long-term battery repair expenditure by up to 90% over the vehicle’s lifespan.

Charging times support continuous day-and-night fleet duty cycles:
Lower Fleet Operating Costs and Maintenance SupportFor commercial fleet operators, running costs remain critical. TQ Wuling notes that the Porta EV requires scheduled routine maintenance only once every six months or 10,000 km, with total scheduled servicing expenses estimated at less than RM2,000 over five years. This yields operating cost savings of more than 65% compared to running conventional diesel delivery vans.

Nationwide aftersales servicing is managed directly through the Tan Chong Ekspress Auto Servis (TCEAS) footprint, covering 28 dedicated service centres with certified high-voltage technicians across Peninsular and East Malaysia.

Factory warranty backing covers:
Recognising that delivery couriers spend long hours behind the wheel, the cabin includes modern creature comforts, featuring four-way adjustable seats, an electronically controlled air conditioning system, a 3.5-inch TFT multi-info driver cluster, and an 8-inch central infotainment head unit with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Standard active and passive safety features include dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control, Hill Start Assist (HSA), a low-speed pedestrian warning buzzer, a reverse camera, rear parking sensors, and an anti-theft engine immobiliser.
