The Texans registered their first win of the season Sunday, and then pulled off a huge trade.

Houston has agreed to acquire wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and a 2027 seventh-round pick from the Cardinals in exchange for a 2027 second-rounder and a 2027 sixth-rounder, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Harrison, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 draft out of Ohio State, had been informed by the Cardinals that he would be traded after he’d expressed unhappiness with his reduced role in the offense.

Even before the trade was reported, he was listed as inactive for Sunday’s game against the Lions.

Harrison, the 24-year-old son of Hall of Fame receiver Marvin Harrison, had just five receptions on 13 targets in Arizona’s first four games this season.

He had 62 receptions for 880 yards and eight touchdowns as a rookie in 2024 and just 41 catches for 608 yards in 12 games last year.

The trade reunites Harrison with college teammate and Texans starting quarterback CJ Stroud, who helped engineer the team’s first win of the season, a 26-3 victory over the Titans.

While in college, Harrison Jr. caught 77 passes for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns during the 2022 season, his last with Stroud, who completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 3,688 yards through the air, along with 41 touchdowns to just six interceptions.

Ohio State went 11-2 on the year and lost to Georgia 42-41 in the Peach Bowl.

At Arizona, Harrison Jr. had fallen out of favor and been outperformed by fellow young receiver Michael Wilson, who came into the weekend with 25 catches, 258 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Wilson emerged last season amid Harrison’s struggles, recording 56 receptions for 775 yards and six touchdowns in the final eight games of 2025, leading to his first 1,000-yard season.

Wilson also agreed to a three-year, $75 million extension this offseason, highlighting his importance in Arizona’s lengthy rebuild.
