The owner of this 1982 Corvette T-top coupe is apparently willing to let the car speak for itself.

Either that, or he is a man of few words.

This heavily customized C3 Corvette — which represents what the third generation of the Corvette might have looked like on crack — is being offered on eBay for $29,000.

While the seller doesn’t provide much information about the car, he certainly doesn’t hold back on the praise.

“Used car in brand new condition,” the ad reads. “Exterior color stands out with no scratches on it. Classic car!”

And, well, he’s definitely right about one thing: It stands out.

The 1982 model marked the final year of the C3 generation, which had enjoyed an impressive production run dating back to 1968. But Chevrolet never sent anything quite like this rolling out of the Corvette factory.

This one has been transformed with extensive custom bodywork that gives the familiar C3 shape an even more outrageous appearance. The T-tops remain, but virtually everything else about the exterior seems designed to attract attention, including the bright yellow paint, gigantic front spoiler, and Testarossa-like strakes on the side panels.

We aren’t told if the heavy customization continues on the inside or under the hood, but we wouldn’t be surprised to find big changes to the interior and a big block engine.

Whether all those modifications make the Corvette more desirable will depend entirely on the person looking at it. Customized classics can be a tough sell since one owner’s dream machine can easily be another enthusiast’s nightmare.

Still, there’s no denying this Corvette is different.

At $29,000, the seller apparently believes the wild styling, condition and unmistakable presence make this ’82 worth a premium.

And if nothing else, the next owner probably won’t have to worry about losing it in a parking lot.
