Completing quests for NPCs can unlock new items to craft or purchase, give you new cooking recipes, or unlock new NPCs.

Generally speaking, you can get more townspeople in Dragon Shelter by progressing quests with the existing townspeople. Eventually, you'll wake up to a quest telling you to find a new person in town.

Some townspeople only show up after certain events. The Alchemist, for example, shows up after the first festival is completed. Generally,

How to Unlock Each Dragon Shelter NPC

Here's how to unlock every Dragon Shelter NPC we've found thus far.

Mayor Augustine, Blacksmith Hugh, Merchant Rufus, Gardener Leah, and Carpenter Wilhelm

Mayor Augustine, Blacksmith Hugh, Merchant Rufus, Gardener Leah, and Carpenter Wilhelm are unlocked by default. They provide many of the early-game quests and provide crafting services.

That said, much of their stock is gated behind completing quests or finding new dragons. Make sure to keep doing quests with them to unlock more items to craft and purchase.

Fisherman Ernest

Fisherman Ernest shows up sometime after you repair the bridge in the southeast of town as part of a quest.

Bard Lucien

Bard Lucien shows up roughly after you complete repairs on the Dovecote at the town entrance. While he doesn't sell anything or provide any services, he's an important source of quests and is critical to restarting the festivals in town. Just keep progressing quests in town until he appears.

Curator Tuberius

Curator Tiberius shows up around the same time as Bard Lucien; he runs the local museum on the west side of town.

Alchemist Seraphina

As far as we can tell, Alchemist Seraphina appears during the first festival and remains in town afterward. She sells empty bottles for collecting certain animal products, but her main function is crafting alchemical items. Many of these alchemical items require elemental plants, such as Water Flowers.

Animal Keeper Konrad

Animal Keeper Konrad is unlocked after you restart the Blacksmith's forge and complete the quest "Wonders at the Doorstep."

Baker Dora

Baker Dora appears to show up after you've completed multiple 5-star quests for the other townspeople.

The Weaver

Unfortunately, we don't yet know how to unlock The Weaver.
