СпутникиРНSpaceXРоскосмосNASA To answer the question at the end: I check the things that only show up when you use the page with a thumb, because layout problems are easy to spot in DevTools device mode but these aren’t:
Tap targets: links and buttons squeezed together. Google’s guidance is roughly 48x48px with some spacing between them.
Anything that relies on hover (dropdown menus, tooltips). There’s no hover on touch, so those either don’t open or need a double tap.
Form inputs with a font size under 16px, which makes iOS Safari zoom in when you tap them.
Sticky headers, cookie banners and chat widgets that together cover a big part of a small screen.
Speed on a real mid-range phone over mobile data, not on a desktop with throttling.
My quick routine: Chrome DevTools device toolbar for layout, Lighthouse for tap targets and performance, then a few minutes on a real phone doing the main task (find a page, fill a form) one-handed.
