Quarterback Aidan O’Connell is back with the Las Vegas Raiders and will be available for Sunday’s 1:25 p.m. game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium.

O’Connell is expected to serve as the emergency quarterback.

He has been away from the team for two weeks mourning the death of his father in Illinois. He had been listed as questionable for the game, but that tag has been removed.

Coach Klint Kubiak said Friday he would absolutely be comfortable with O’Connell suiting up and potentially being available to play despite not having practiced in more than two weeks.

O’Connell is in his fourth season with the Raiders. He has a 7-10 record as a starter and has played in 21 games overall, completing 377 of 608 attempts for 3,932 yards and 20 touchdowns with 11 interceptions.

The Raiders and Chiefs are both 3-0 with the winner taking sole possession of first place in the AFC West.
