It’s fair to say that ever since Anne Hathaway announced her third pregnancy with her husband, Adam Shulman, back in June, we’ve seen more of her than ever before.
In fact, the star has been on a nonstop promo circuit all year. Her exciting baby news came after she’d completed the press tour for Mother Mary and The Devil Wears Prada 2, and right before she started for The Odyssey.
Since then, she has also promoted her movie The End of Oak Street, and now, she is back in the spotlight for Verity, the movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover's book of the same name.
Earlier this very week, Anne proudly showed off her growing baby bump in a mermaid-cut lace gown from Prabal Gurung’s atelier collection at the New York premiere for Verity, and the form-fitting style left pregnant people everywhere feeling incredibly seen as it became evident that Anne is nearing her due date.
But the Hollywood star has spoken out against the discourse praising her for how much she is working in these later stages of her pregnancy, saying in an interview with AP Entertainment: “Let's not overpraise the pampered actress. There's a lot of pregnant women out there at home and in the workplace who, you know, didn't get a manicure this morning. I'm very happy to do my job. I have so much support."
In a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight, Anne assured fans that she is “going to rest pretty soon,” as she confirmed that she will be taking a well-deserved break before moving on to her next project, Days of Thunder 2, which she and Tom Cruise announced in August.
"[Verity] comes out October 2nd, and October 3rd, I'm going to vanish into a plume of smoke, and you're not going to see me until you have to," she explained. "I'm definitely gonna disappear and take some time off. But then I'm joining Tom on the track in March."
Well, as you may have noticed, today is Oct. 2, and it seems as though Anne is more than ready to disappear into that plume of smoke. Taking to her TikTok account on Thursday, the star shared a hilarious video she made with her glam team that poked fun at her grueling pregnancy work schedule.
The video uses audio from a famous Schitt’s Creek scene in which the rest of the family brace themselves as Alexis enters the room after a difficult night. Alongside the caption “When your co-worker is on the fifth press tour of her pregnancy,” the post starts with Anne’s glam team lip-syncing to: “Oh dear," "My god," and "Brave faces, everyone.”
Fed up Anne then enters the room wearing sunglasses and skincare patches around her eyes while dressed casually. The glam team continues: “Alexis! Oh, you’re looking so natural and peppy…”
“Bit of a rough night, actually,” Anne lip-syncs in response, to which the team replies: “Oh, well, you’re fooling everyone, dear.”
The TikTok then cuts to a montage of Anne’s transformation for the New York premiere, which included getting her hair and makeup done, and getting a mani-pedi before hitting the red carpet.
Needless to say, people have been left obsessed with this honest insight into the behind-the-scenes of Anne’s pregnancy looks, with one of the top comments on the TikTok reading: “Girlll please have a good break after this 😂”
Somebody else wrote: “Women are magicalllll bc what do you mean she’s doing all of this pregnant!!!” Another joked: “When I was pregnant with my 2nd i needed a nap to recover from my exhausting nap... you are amazing,” and one more echoed: “when I was that pregnant I got mad taking a shower because it was exhausting. you're so impressive.”
Another comment quips: “Where Anne Hathawill, she Hathaway.”
