Online department store Very has seen sales grow across homeware, toys and beauty, as the Group reported adjusted EBITDA increased 3.4 per cent to £317.5m.

In its full year results for the 52 weeks ending 27 June 2026, its UK revenue increased 1.3 per cent to £1.86bn (FY25: £1.83bn), while Group revenue remained stable at £2.09bn (FY25: £2.09bn).

Very’s home division remained an area of strategic focus in FY26, with sales growing 6.4 per cent year-on-year. The etailer said this was “underpinned by strong performances in home accessories” with a 21.5 per cent surge in growth and bedroom furniture boosted by 6.6 per cent.

Toys and beauty both grew 3.2 per cent, driven by strong performances in boys’ toys (+17.0 per cent) and fragrance (+4.8 per cent).

However, it was not such positive news for electricals, fashion and sports. Electricals declined slightly by 0.4 per cent. While both fashion and sports faced a “challenging market” and declined 4.6 per cent.

Very stressed that its sports offering grew 9.7 per cent, with the return of Nike in spring 2026. It hoped this will provide further growth opportunities for the category in the coming financial year.

Robbie Feather, CEO at The Very Group, commented: “FY26 has been another year of strong progress and significant milestones for The Very Group. Against a challenging market backdrop, we delivered the best earnings performance in the Group’s history while continuing to strengthen our unique proposition, combining multi-category digital retail with flexible ways to pay.

“Our continued focus on the families we serve, together with the passion and dedication of our talented colleagues, helped us achieve our highest-ever customer satisfaction score.”

Very has added more than 80 brands during FY26, including Estée Lauder, Salomon and DUSK. It has also invested in its delivery and returns options, with an InPost partnership designed give customers greater choice and control, including access to around 15,000 lockers nationwide.

The online retailer also stressed that it has reached a major milestone in its multi-year technology transformation in FY26. More than 95 per cent of customer traffic migrated to its new Skyscape platform by year-end and full migration completed shortly afterwards.

Feather described this as the group’s “biggest-ever technology transformation, creating a more agile business that can respond quickly to evolving customer expectations and market conditions.”

Looking ahead to 2027, Feather added: “We have strong momentum and a refreshed strategy focused on building an even stronger retail and credit proposition, broadening our appeal to win new families and exploring new avenues for growth.

“We are confident in the strength of our business model and the foundations we have in place to deliver long-term growth and continue helping families get more out of life.”
