The voice actor died Sunday at the age of 46.
Eric Bauza, the Emmy-winning actor who voiced the core cast of the Looney Tunes, including Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, died suddenly on Sunday at the age of 46.
The news was announced by Bauza's family via his Instagram and came as a shock to the world of animation and his many fans. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner stated that Bauza died from hypertensive cardiovascular disease.
In addition to his high-profile work with the Looney Tunes, including this year's hit Coyote vs. Acme, Bauza was a prolific actor whose voice could be heard within some of the most popular fictional worlds, like Star Wars, Marvel, and Disney.
In remembrance of Bauza, here is a look back at some of his most memorable roles.
The Looney Tunes (2015-2026)When Bauza won Outstanding Voice Performance in an Animated Program at the Children's & Family Emmy Awards for his work on the Looney Tunes in 2022, it was his first Emmy win, but his time voicing Bugs, Daffy, and the gang went further back than that. He started voicing characters in the classic roster like Marvin the Martian beginning in 2015 with New Looney Tunes, and then expanded that work in 2018 to Bugs, Daffy, and Tweety with Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem. He performed those characters opposite LeBron James in the 2021 sequel Space Jam: A New Legacy. Bauza most recently voiced Bugs Bunny in this year's Coyote vs. Acme.
The Forgotten Island (2021)
In the world of film, Bauza's latest role was as Gen. Button Wutton in DreamWorks's The Forgotten Island, one of the best-reviewed animated movies of the year.
Breadwinners (2014-2016)The Annie Awards nominated Bauza for his role as Buhdeuce, one of the main characters in the Nickelodeon animated series Breadwinners.
Muppet Babies (2018)Bauza was a three-time nominee alone for his work as Fozzie Bear on the CG-animated reboot of the '80s children's TV classic, Muppet Babies.
Puss in Boots (2015-2018)The actor's first Emmy nomination came from the Daytime Emmys (before the split for Children's & Family) for his work as Shrek's sword-wielding pal on the television spin-off The Adventures of Puss in Boots.
Teen Titans Go! (2013-2026)Bauza won his third and final Emmy Award in 2025 for his contributions to the voice cast of the DC Comics series Teen Titans Go! In the clip above, Bauza performs all of the Joker impressions.
