Samsung Galaxy S25 – Severe Overheating While Switched Off and Charging (One UI 9)I experienced a very concerning overheating incident with my Samsung Galaxy S25 (256GB, SM-S931B), and I want to know whether other S25 users have experienced the same problem.Phone details:Galaxy S25 256GBOne UI 9.0 / Android 17Purchased on 9 October 2026Incident occurred on 25 October 2026Phone was only 16 days oldWhat happened:At approximately 9:30 AM, my phone had around 36% battery remaining. I completely switched it off and connected it to a third-party charger. After approximately one hour, I noticed that the entire phone had become extremely hot, including the back panel, camera area and metal side frame.I immediately disconnected the charger, but surprisingly, the phone continued to remain extremely hot for another 30–60 minutes.Even more strangely, the phone would cool down slightly and then become hot again, despite being completely disconnected from the charger. It was so hot that holding it for more than 10–15 seconds was uncomfortable.Phone wouldn't turn on:After the phone cooled down, I attempted to restart it.The Samsung logo appeared, but the phone failed to boot. I tried again after a few minutes, with the same result.Later, it suddenly displayed 0% battery, even though it had approximately 36% before charging. After charging briefly, it showed 1% and eventually restarted. The phone is currently working normally.Battery drain since purchase:I also noticed unusually fast battery drain from the beginning, but initially assumed it was due to heavy usage.Samsung diagnostics:I ran Samsung Members diagnostics afterward:Battery Status: NormalBattery Life: GoodCable Charging: PassedOverall: 19 Normal, 0 Action RequiredDespite these results, I am concerned about the safety of the phone. My questions to Samsung and other S25 users:Has anyone experienced extreme overheating while the Galaxy S25 was completely switched off and charging?Has anyone experienced continued or repeated heating after disconnecting the charger?Could this be related to One UI 9 or the powered-off charging system?Has Samsung identified the cause or provided a permanent solution?Did anyone receive a replacement or have the issue resolved through a service centre?I have already registered complaints with Samsung India and Flipkart and requested an inspection and replacement assessment.I request Samsung to investigate this issue seriously, especially because the device is almost new and the heating continued even after unplugging. Please share your experiences and any confirmed solutions.#GalaxyS25 #SamsungGalaxy #OneUI9 #SamsungOverheating #BatteryIssue #SamsungMembers
