BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The American Cast Iron Pipe Company has issued a statement after three contractors were injured in a fire at its facility Wednesday.

According to the ACIPCO, the cause of the fire is under investigation. The company clarified that this recent fire was unrelated to separate fires that occurred at its facility in August and September. No injuries were reported during the previous fires.

“Following any incident, ACIPCO conducts a full investigation and takes corrective action to prevent it, or a similar incident, from happening in the future. Safety is one of our core values, and employees receive extensive classroom and on-the-job safety training from the day they are hired,” a spokesperson for ACIPCO stated.
