Autumn can be a depressing month, with the nights drawing in, the cold mornings, and the muddy fields and footpaths - so an escape to the beach could be just the tonic.

And it needn't break the bank, either. We've been trawling through a sale at Parkdean Resorts, which is offering bargain breaks for as little as £99.

That will get you two, three, or four nights in one of their well-appointed static caravans, right by a beach, for as many as six people.

You'll have access to all the park's facilities and entertainment, and there are some affordable upgrades such as all-inclusive deals or even hot tub lodges.

But if you're just after a few days away and you're on a strict budget, it's perfectly possible to book a break for £99 in one of the 65 parks owned by Parkdean Resorts.

Examples of the £99 holidays include a three-night stay at Carmarthen Bay in Wales, four nights in Sandford, South West England, four nights in Vauxhall, East Anglia, or four nights in Trecco Bay, Wales.

The best way to bag a bargain break is to not be too choosy about dates, because prices do vary a bit. Also some parks cost more than others, so zero in on a region, rather than a specific park.

But you never know, your ideal date and location could be in the long list of £99 holidays, and you can check whether you're going to secure a big saving by clicking here.
