MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. Russian president’s special envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev has commended US First Lady Melania Trump and her team’s role in the organization of the humanitarian mission in Alyoshki in the Kherson Region.

Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a ceasefire in Alyoshki in the Kherson Region, the White House said earlier in the day. The ceasefire will come into effect on October 29, 2026. The sides agreed to cease hostilities in Alyoshki to "allow for humanitarian aid to enter and to prepare a civilian evacuation through a designated safe passageway," the White House said, adding that an independent US media organization will assist and document the actions of both Russia and Ukraine during the ceasefire.
