With important components available directly from Apple, this makes things easy for users who want to carry out Do-It-Yourself (DIY) repairs. You can order these parts from Apple’s Self Service Repair Store.
Apple’s replacement part prices may be on the higher side. But at least you know you will receive genuine components. The company is charging $329 for the iPhone 18 Pro’s replacement display, with other accessories like the screws and cowling costing extra. Likewise, a replacement back glass costs $159.
Some third-party repair stores may be able to offer lower prices. But then again, there’s no guarantee that they would use genuine replacement parts. You can send the defective or broken component from your device to Apple for a small credit.
Mac parts and repair manuals also join the lineupFor the Mac Studio and Mac mini, Apple now offers replacement Thunderbolt and USB-C ports, speakers, SSD modules, logic boards and power supplies.
Besides the components, Apple also provides detailed manuals to help carry out the repairs.
If you’re new to the DIY scene, you can rent out the toolkit directly from Apple to carry out the necessary repairs. While the rental price itself is cheap, Apple will hold an authorization on your card for the toolkit’s entire value.
