Hospitality player Royal Orchid Hotels plans to open two properties under its luxury boutique brand Crestoria this fiscal year, as it looks to tap demand for weddings, wellness stays and retreats. The company expects to add another two to three properties under the brand annually thereafter, Keshav Baljee, Executive Director, Royal Orchid Hotels, told businessline.
Crestoria will focus on boutique luxury hotels typically comprising 50-150 rooms. The properties are being developed by third parties, with development costs ranging from ₹75 lakh to ₹1.5 crore per room, Baljee said. The first openings are expected to include a property in Bhopal.
The expansion comes as Royal Orchid builds out a broader pipeline of more than 50 hotels, comprising over 3,500 rooms. The projects are at different stages of development, with average completion at around 51 per cent, Baljee said.
“Roughly half of the pipeline is expected to open in the current fiscal year, while the remainder will be commissioned over the following two financial years,” Baljee told businessline. The company expects to replenish its pipeline as projects near completion, with development activity accelerating in some cases.
The pipeline is expected to expand further as Royal Orchid continues to add projects, Baljee said.
Crestoria’s focus on weddings, wellness and retreats gives the group an opportunity to target premium hospitality demand through a boutique format, alongside its existing portfolio. Royal Orchid operates hotels under brands including Regenta and ICONIQA, catering to business, leisure and other travel segments.
The company reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹107.21 crore in the first quarter of FY27, a 36.1 per cent increase year-on-year.
