After installing the latest version, the wallpaper now doesn't change. I have it set up to select a different wallpaper from a selected folder. However, the wallpaper doesn't change. I tried doing manually and on the setup screen it shows the new wallpaper but it doesn't apply it to the desktop.
No it doesn't. I also had to apply Admin rights on the app as it would continue to request administrative rights but it wouldn't load. So there seems to be an issue with window's security. Not sure if maybe the latest window's update could be causing any issues? I have the Window's Pro Insider preview.

I ended having to reinstall the app. However, now, when I try to load it went back to the error that it requires elevation. I'm set as administrator on this account. I'm the only account on this laptop, so don't understand why it would ask this. When I first click on it the windows asking to approve admin rights for the app comes up, I click on ok but still the message keeps coming up.:x

I think I found the solution. Need to go to the properties of the exe file. Go to Compatibility, click on Run As Administrator. Up to here it wasn't still working. What made the difference is that further down I selected "change options for all users". Once that was done. It worked. So it seems that DF looks at all users, or windows makes DF look at all users rather than the current admin user only.
I should've checked everthing before posting here. Sorry. Now the app loads, but it still refuses to change the wallpaper. I'm at my wits end. Can figure out why it keeps doing this.
Could you send me a debug log for this issue?
- On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and then click "Clear Log"
- Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
- Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
- Reply with the file attached
- Disable debug logging after sending the log

I am having the same issue. I was on Steam version 12.0.2 and wallpaper slideshow worked as expected.
Updating to 12.1 breaks it and it is still broken in 12.1.1
If I set the profile from within the app, it seems to work as expected.
If I set the profile using a function, the slideshow is not activated. Additionally, pressing the function hotkeys multiple times does not change the wallpaper. This also used to work in 12.0.2
It does seem that restarting DisplayFusion manually clears the issue but I don't want to have to do that every time I reboot my computer. I have not tested return from sleep yet.
I'll update this post as I gather more info.
Here's what I did: I turned on L1 logging and rebooted. I then used my function hotkey to start a wallpaper profile with a 5 minute change on one monitor, while the other stays static. I waited 15 minutes and the wallpaper never changed. I then restarted DisplayFusion from the taskbar icon and used the hotkey again after the restart. The wallpaper changed immediately and 5 minutes later, as expected.

Confirmed: It also breaks after waking from sleep
Also, restarting DisplayFusion doesn't always fix it after sleep.

Could you try updating to the latest beta and let me know if this issue still exists there? We've fixed a bunch of issues since 12.1.1, so I'd like to see if any of them help here.
- On the DisplayFusion Settings > General tab, enable the "Check for new Beta (newer, unstable) versions" option
- Click the Apply button
- Click the "Check for Updates" button

Also, the wallpaper dialog is getting stuck on "Applying Wallpaper Settings" when clicking OK
