Alfa Romeo has pulled back the curtain on its latest showpiece at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, staging the world premiere of the Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso concept at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

Alfa Romeo has been rather quite since the reveal of the Junior in 2024. Now near the tail end of 2026, we get a glimmer of hope with a new concept car from the brand called the Cuorerosso. Translating directly to “Red Heart”, the striking concept marks a statement of intent from the Biscione marque.

Conceived and sculpted at the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile in Turin, the Cuorerosso arrives not as a direct preview of a specific showroom model, nor as a hollow styling experiment. Instead, Alfa Romeo positions it as a pure design manifesto—an exploration of modern proportions, material craftsmanship, and sensory drama intended to anchor the brand’s styling direction for the next generation of performance machinery.

The concept reinterprets the classic Italian gran turismo silhouette through modern aerodynamic surfacing. Measuring roughly 4.7 metres in length, the Cuorerosso adopts a balanced 2+2 coupe stance characterized by a low hood line, tightly drawn cabin glasshouse, and muscular rear haunches that flow seamlessly into a sculpted kamm-tail rear.

Every exterior crease and vent serves an aerodynamic purpose without sacrificing visual elegance. Up front, the iconic Trefoil shield and classic Scudetto grille are integrated into a sleek, negative-space front fascia flanked by slender, architectural lighting signatures. The body is finished in an intense, multi-layered red that shifts hue under direct sunlight, paying homage to Alfa Romeo’s historic racing livery while giving the sculpted metal panels maximum visual depth.

While many modern sports car concepts prioritize wall-to-wall touchscreens and sterile autonomous driving modes, the Cuorerosso doubles down on the visceral connection between machine and driver.

Inside, the cabin layout is built strictly around the person behind the steering wheel:

• Focused Ergonomics: Controls, toggles, and driving mode selectors are grouped tightly within the driver’s primary line of sight and natural reach, designed to be operated purely by muscle memory.
• Cannocchiale Gauge Cluster: The instrument binnacle retains Alfa Romeo’s signature twin-cowled layout, combining digital instrumentation with clean typography to minimize cognitive clutter during spirited driving.

Beneath its sculpted carbon skin, the Cuorerosso concept explores a multi-energy architecture engineered to adapt to the ongoing industry transition. Under the hood, the concept honors the marque’s motorsport heritage by pairing the legendary 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 with an advanced hybrid electric drive system, delivering instantaneous throttle response alongside lower local emissions.

More importantly, the Cuorerosso serves as an aesthetic compass for future high-performance Quadrifoglio models. As Stellantis prepares the next wave of Alfa Romeo sports saloons and performance vehicles, the design solutions, aerodynamic tricks, and driver-centric cockpit principles showcased on the Paris show floor are set to trickle down into production Alfa Romeos through the end of the decade.
