Dmitry Peskov stressed that the Kiev regime’s harsh statements directed at US President Donald Trump will not help Vladimir Zelensky
MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS/. Russian authorities are in touch with the business on the topic of Kiev regime strikes against datacenters, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
He noted that Russian companies are taking measures to safeguard themselves against Kiev regime strikes.
Peskov also stressed that the Kiev regime’s harsh statements directed at US President Donald Trump will not help Vladimir Zelensky and will not contribute to accelerating a peaceful settlement.
TASS has compiled the Kremlin spokesman’s key statements.
Russian authorities are in touch with the business on the topic of Kiev regime strikes against data centers: "The leadership of the country is certainly thinking about these problems and the government is in the dialogue with the business."
Russian companies are taking measures to safeguard themselves against Kiev regime strikes: "All the companies are taking measures to ensure physical security, although these are clearly very complex and rather costly measures."
Zelensky’s statementsThe Kiev regime’s harsh statements directed at US President Donald Trump will not help Vladimir Zelensky and will not contribute to accelerating a peaceful settlement: "The [negotiation] style of the Kiev regime’s representatives is well known to us and to the whole world. I don’t think spatting with the US president will help the Kiev regime in any way. At this point, it’s unlikely anything can help it. But the fact that this spatting does not contribute to accelerated progress toward a peaceful settlement is unequivocal."
Possibility of bilateral, trilateral meetings in ChinaA trilateral meeting in China between Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping would be highly beneficial, but it remains unclear whether the leaders’ schedules will coincide: "There is a shared view that it would be good to hold such a meeting. But we do not yet know how well the leaders’ schedules align, and we do not yet know what the agenda for such a meeting might be. However, there is a shared understanding that it would be highly beneficial."
Nuclear arsenals are unlikely to feature on the agenda of such a meeting, should one take place: "Nuclear arsenals are not an appropriate topic to bring up."
Moscow respects Beijing’s position that China’s nuclear arsenal is currently incomparable to those of Moscow and Washington: "You know that our Chinese friends believe their nuclear potential is currently incomparable to the nuclear capabilities of Russia and the United States; they believe there is no subject for discussion. That is China’s position, and we respect it. Therefore, it is unlikely that this issue could be discussed in a trilateral format,"
A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump has not yet been agreed upon, but if they happen to be at the same venue during the APEC summit in China: "No, not yet. But if they happen to be together in China, then, of course, one can assume that such a meeting will be discussed."
Reports on slowdown of Starlink for Ukrainian armyThere has been no official statement from the US on the slowdown of the Starlink service for the Ukrainian armed forces, so it is too early to jump to conclusions: "How do we know this? This is just completely scattered information. ‘What if…’ Indeed, there is a lot of information suggesting that there are some restrictions on the provision of intelligence and early warning information about our missile launches. But, on the other hand, there have also been statements from Washington that the assistance is continuing."
"We need to wait for some more or less specific information here,"
"We don’t know what the US has done. How can we speculate about what it can or cannot do? We haven’t heard any official statements from representatives of [Elon] Musk’s company [which owns the service], nor have we heard any official statements from representatives of the Kiev regime on this matter."
"We’ve heard statements from [US President Donald] Trump that aid is continuing. Let’s analyze the information as it comes in and not rush to conclusions."
On Ukrainian settlementAsked if Moscow had taken part in the consultations, the Kremlin spokesman answered in the negative.
Russia did not participate in consultations on a package agreement on resolving the Ukraine conflict, allegedly prepared by Washington, and so far has no plans to take part in any trilateral talks on the issue: "We don’t expect them at the moment. You know that the president said: after Ukraine tried to disrupt our elections, we will think about when to resume trilateral talks."
Moscow will decide whether to resume trilateral consultations on the Ukrainian settlement with Kiev and Washington at a later date and strictly in accordance with Russia’s national interests: "We will do so strictly in accordance with our national interests.".
