Sound Particles have just announced major updates for two of their popular dynamic panning plug-ins. Energy Panner 2 and Brightness Panner 2 have both gained independent paths per channel, built-in mixer, a virtual centre function, three visualisation modes, expanded support for every major output format or the ability to create a custom format, and now run on the same modern engine that powers Beat Panner.

• Independent Paths: Every input channel gets its own path, with independent start and end points, offering far more control than a single shared trajectory.
• Built-in Mixer: Per-channel output level control, right inside the plug-in — no need to jump to the DAW mixer.
• Virtual Centre: Clears the signal from the centre channel and redistributes it to left and right: clean dialogue in post-production, open space for a lead vocal in a music mix.
• Multiple Views: Circular, Polygon and Room views, so the plug-in matches how you already think about a room or a mix.
• Custom Format Layouts: Build your own speaker layouts with customisable channel count, azimuth, elevation and LFE placement.
• Expanded Input/Output Support: From stereo to Dolby Atmos and all the way up to sixth-order Ambisonics.

Energy Panner 2 and Brightness Panner 2 are supported on PCs running Windows 11, and Macs running macOS 13.3 and above. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.

Energy Panner 2 and Brightness Panner 2 are available now, priced at $99. Upgrade discounts are available for those who own previous versions.
