Sunny conditions will continue across Bulgaria on Friday, October 9, although the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology forecasts increasing cloud cover from the west and isolated light rain in Western Bulgaria by evening.

Winds will be light to moderate from the west-northwest, while southeastern Bulgaria and the northern Black Sea coast will continue to experience south-southwesterly winds.

Overnight lows will be between 8°C and 13°C, with somewhat lower temperatures in parts of Western and Central Bulgaria and around 8°C in Sofia. Daytime temperatures will climb to 25°C-30°C, reaching about 26°C in the capital.

The mountains will remain mostly sunny, but clouds will build during the day, with isolated light rain expected in the mountain ranges of Western and Central Bulgaria by evening. Moderate west-northwesterly winds will prevail. Temperatures will reach about 20°C at 1,200 meters and 13°C at 2,000 meters.

Along the Black Sea coast, skies will be predominantly clear, with light south-southwesterly winds. Maximum temperatures will range from 22°C to 26°C. Sea water temperatures will be 19°C-20°C, while the sea state will be 2-3 on the Douglas scale.

Western parts of the Balkan Peninsula will see predominantly cloudy conditions and precipitation in many areas, while rain along the Adriatic coast will be accompanied by thunderstorms. Eastern parts of the peninsula will start the morning mostly sunny, but cloud cover will also increase there during the day.
