There is nothing more selfish in America than the “pro-choice” abortion movement (“What Maine women who remember life before Roe are saying about Susan Collins,” Sept. 26)

Let’s understand that abortion kills human life growing in the mother’s womb. There is no crossover point after conception when human life suddenly becomes worthy of continued living. At the moment of conception, our unique lifelong DNA begins. At that moment, our physical attributes are fully written in that DNA code: eye color, hair color, bone structure, skin color, etc. 

Generally, abortion is the self-centered murder of the innocent. So as to not impede on the quality of life of parents, usually supported by the straw man argument of “not being prepared to be parents.” In the pro-abortion world, men and women play Russian roulette with sex and it’s the new human life they mistakenly create that dies.    

Look at the image of a 10-week fetus. It is stunning to see how small, yet formed, human life is at that early stage in pregnancy. At three to six weeks, the fetal heart is pumping blood in and out of a primitive heart. 

After Roe v. Wade, Planned Parenthood discovered how lucrative abortion was.
