Jackery has introduced the Explorer 300D, a portable power station designed to keep laptops, phones, cameras, and other work devices running during brownouts or while people work away from an outlet.

The unit has a 288Wh battery, delivers up to 300W of total DC output, and weighs 2.5 kilograms. Jackery says it is 64% smaller than standard 300Wh power stations on the market.

The key trade-off is its lack of AC wall outlets. The Explorer 300D uses DC and USB-C connections instead, which Jackery says helps reduce its size and power loss while the unit is idle. Buyers who need to plug in devices with a standard wall plug would need a different power station.

For freelancers and small businesses, the Explorer 300D could provide a way to keep essential devices charged when working on location or through a power interruption. Jackery says it can fully charge a compatible USB-C laptop three to four times, recharge camera or drone batteries up to five times, or charge smaller devices such as phones and portable fans up to 22 times. Actual results will depend on the devices and how they are used.

Its shoulder strap also detaches and doubles as a 140W USB-C charging cable, reducing the number of separate accessories users need to carry.

The Explorer 300D is designed for people whose work depends on devices that can charge through USB-C or DC connections, including content creators carrying cameras and laptops, and remote workers who need backup power for a router.
