The Palawan Group of Companies (PGC) has partnered with AltPayNet to give Filipinos more ways to receive money sent from abroad. Beneficiaries will be able to receive remittances through the PalawanPay app or collect cash at more than 3,800 Palawan Express Pera Padala (PEPP) branches nationwide.
The agreement connects AltPayNet’s international remittance infrastructure with Palawan Group’s digital platform and branch network. For families receiving money, the choice between an app and a nearby counter could make funds easier to access, particularly for those who prefer cash or do not use digital wallets.
“Through our partnership with AltPayNet, we are expanding our ability to connect more Filipinos to the support of their loved ones overseas,” said Lisa Castro-Sabado, chief business development officer of the Palawan Group of Companies. “Whether they are receiving money through PalawanPay or claiming it at any Palawan Express Pera Padala branch nationwide, our goal remains the same: to make remittance services more accessible, more convenient, and more reliable for every Filipino.”
The partnership also gives AltPayNet access to Palawan Group’s nationwide network for distributing remittances in the Philippines. Palawan for Business will work with AltPayNet on the rollout across that network.
“Through our partnership with the Palawan Group, we are expanding our reach through one of the country’s most trusted financial networks, allowing more beneficiaries to receive their funds quickly, conveniently, and securely,” said Don Vacal, president and CEO of AltPayNet. “Together, we share a common purpose of making financial services more accessible while helping overseas Filipinos stay connected with the people who matter most.”
Overseas remittances are a major source of household income. Personal remittances from overseas Filipinos reached $39.62 billion in 2025, according to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
