SILOAM SPRINGS, ARK. — Simmons Foods announced on Aug. 7 that Scott Salmon is joining the executive leadership team as the company’s new chief commercial officer.

In his new role, Salmon will be responsible for leading enterprise commercial strategy and standards across the business, as well as branded portfolio strategy for Pet and Prepared Foods and the design and rollout of market and commercial analytics across the company. Working alongside the rest of Simmons’ executive team, Salmon will focus on advancing the company’s strategy with speed, efficiency and dedicated customer focus.

Most recently, Salmon served as president of Simmons Pet Food.

“In our Pet business, Scott helped deliver record growth and results using innovative ideas and disciplined strategic execution,” said Todd Simmons, chief executive officer of Simmons Foods. “Scott and his team have driven improvements in customer value, operational excellence and our own brand portfolio. Our company will benefit greatly from his leadership, strategic mindset and ability to build high-performing, collaborative teams.”

As Salmon transitions to CCO, Simmons announced that Jacob Rogers, current senior vice president of Pet Sales, has been promoted to president of Simmons Pet Food.

Rogers will draw on his experience in sales and across multiple commercial functions to continue strengthening the business’ capabilities, product mix and value proposition.

“Jacob is an outstanding leader who made an impact as soon as he joined the company two years ago,” Simmons said. “He played a key role in building strong relationships with existing and new customers, growing our business and providing repeatable, reliable results. Jacob has high standards of excellence and accountability that will help define our future success.”
