MOSCOW, September 30. /TASS/. Moscow considers dangerous maneuvers by a Danish Air Force helicopter toward the Baltic Fleet corvette Soobrazitelny a gross violation of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"The Danish diplomat was told that Russia regards the dangerous maneuvers by a Danish Air Force helicopter as a gross violation of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. The ministry stressed that the accusations leveled against Russia by the Danish authorities over the incident were unacceptable and absurd and did not stand up to scrutiny. It emphasized that, amid heightened tensions in the Baltic region linked to increased NATO military activity against Russia, a repeat of such reckless actions could lead to escalation and create a risk of a serious incident," the Foreign Ministry said.
