MOSCOW, September 30. /TASS/. Russia, unlike some, will not run around the world with an outstretched hand, begging for handouts, President Vladimir Putin said, speaking at the first plenary session of the 9th State Duma.

"Unlike some, whom we won't point to, Russia will not humiliate itself by going cap in hand around the world begging for handouts," the head of state emphasized.

He noted that, first of all, this is humiliating. "Second, no one will give us anything, and we know that very well. Third, and most importantly, we don’t need that," Putin stressed, explaining that Russia’s financial system and economy are in a good shape.
