Rachel Riley and husband Pasha Kovalev enjoyed a rare date night to the cinema for the 'first time in four years' on Friday.

The Countdown star, 37, took to Instagram as she captured the former Strictly star, 43, fast asleep next to her. 

Rachel looked effortlessly stylish in a strapless pink ensemble which she teamed with drop heart earrings while Pasha opted for a black T-shirt. 

She joked: 'Date night when you have toddlers. First time at the cinema in four years.' 

It comes as Rachel candidly detailed her marital struggles with her husband Pasha in an interview with The Sun.

She admitted it can be very difficult to find some alone time with the former Strictly pro while they juggle work and parenthood.

Rachel said date nights can be rare for the couple - who share daughters Maven, two, and little Noa, 22 months.

But the TV personality also admitted she wouldn't change a thing, and she enjoys this phase of parenthood.

'When you first get together, if they're away for three months and you've only been together a month, it's a big deal,' she told.

'But when you've been together the best part of a decade and you can see a future of how ever many more decades that you get together, it kind of changes your perspective.

"It's nice to have date nights especially as we can be ships that pass in the night, especially when you have kids as well.'

The Channel 4 star revealed she's been 'juggling so many things' and will now need to be more organised during her days off.

The MBE didn't hold back to add that it is crucial to make time for romance and keep the spark alive.

The mathematician explained Pasha was recently choreographing a film in Romania for five weeks as the Russian dancer got back and went straight into rehearsals.

Rachel remarked how busy and different this phase of parenthood felt, although everything was 'always in flux'.

She admitted to be looking forward to an intimate night that could finally feel 'like a million miles away at the moment, once she will finish feeding the baby.

But the TV host appears happier than ever with how her life is going at the moment, as she is prioritising the family and trying to enjoy the time with her little girls.

Rachel explained how parenthood just brings your life upside down, as you cannot just 'go out in the evening when you want to' as you'll have to always look after the kids.

The Countdown star also said she is aware this is just 'temporary', as the kids will get bigger and she won't be breastfeeding anymore - allowing her and Pasha to perhaps have some alone time.

She told they are enjoying this phase although they know it won't be forever.
