SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. — Prospective students and their families are invited to explore Penn State Schuylkill during Penn State Day on Saturday, Oct. 17. The admissions open house will provide an opportunity for students to learn more about academic programs, campus resources, student life and the Penn State experience.

The event begins with registration and check-in from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by an Admissions welcome and presentation. Attendees will then hear directly from current students during a Student Panel.

Following the panel, prospective students and their families can explore campus during guided tours and get a closer look at the Penn State Schuylkill experience.

After the tour, attendees can visit the Information Fair to connect with representatives from a variety of campus offices and programs, including Financial Aid, Housing, Academic Advising, Career Services, Athletics, Student Life, student organizations and academic programs.

The Information Fair provides an opportunity to ask questions and receive personalized information about the resources and opportunities available at Penn State Schuylkill.

Before you leave, enjoy a complimentary lunch in the cafeteria. The campus bookstore also will be open during the event, giving students and their families an opportunity to browse and purchase official Penn State merchandise and apparel.

All attendees will receive an application fee waiver card with instructions on how to have their application fee waived.

“Penn State Day is a great opportunity for prospective students and their families to experience Penn State Schuylkill firsthand,” said Gianna Agnello-Porambo, director of admissions. “From meeting our students and faculty to exploring our academic programs and campus resources, we want visitors to leave with a better understanding of the opportunities available to them here.”

Penn State Schuylkill offers students the opportunity to earn a Penn State degree in a close-knit campus environment while participating in hands-on learning, undergraduate research, Co-Op, athletics, student organizations and other experiences designed to complement the classroom.
