Former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has agreed to plead guilty to charges stemming from his alleged boozy brawl with a grease truck driver in the alley behind an Indianapolis hotel last year.

Sanchez’s attorneys and Indiana state prosecutors filed a joint motion on Wednesday asking that a judge vacate a Sept. 8 trial date and “set this matter for a guilty plea and sentencing hearing.”

The ex-Fox Sports analyst got into a fight with truck driver Perry Tole after he parked his truck in an alley to collect cooking oil outside an Indianapolis hotel in early October 2025.

The former football pro was stabbed during the melee, but authorities alleged he was the instigator.

The 69-year-old truck driver was body-slammed by Sanchez, now 39, who police said reeked of booze. 

Tole then stabbed Sanchez in self-defense. 

Footage captured Sanchez clutching his wounds while staggering from the alleyway into a nearby bar.

Tole was also hospitalized and claimed in a lawsuit against Sanchez that he was left “permanently disfigured” from the attack.

In previous court documents, Tole’s attorneys also accused Sanchez of having taken “multiple illegal substances” — including cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana — in addition to alcohol leading up to the altercation.

It’s unclear to which charges Sanchez intends to plead guilty.

But he was hit with a slew of charges, including battery resulting in serious bodily injury, battery resulting in bodily injury, unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication.

A judge still needs to accept Sanchez’s guilty plea. If so, both parties requested that Sanchez’s guilty plea and sentencing hearing be scheduled for either Nov. 9 or Nov. 16.

“We are finalizing an agreement with the prosecutor’s office that provides a path toward resolving the state’s case. We’re also encouraged by the constructive conversations taking place regarding the related civil matter. There is real momentum toward bringing this entire chapter to a close,” Sanchez Jr said in a statement to the Post. 

Matt Golitko, an attorney for Tole, added in a statement that discussions with Sanchez’s legal team have created a “positive path” for moving forward.

“We are pleased with the constructive and professional conversations we’ve had with Mr. Sanchez’s team. Our discussions have been productive, and we’re on a positive path toward an agreement that will allow the parties to move forward. Mr. Tole appreciates the progress we have achieved and looks forward to an amicable resolution,” Golitko said. 

Tole’s civil case against Sanchez remains pending.
