Raccoon boot camp in Mississippi teaches survival skills to abandoned kits

A former U.S. merchant mariner opened Woodside Wildlife Rescue in 2019 after she helped rehabilitate a baby raccoon found aboard her ship. The rescue in the coastal city of Pass Christian typically raises dozens of kits each year, 76 so far this year, alongside other indigenous wildlife.
