Showers start as First Alert issued for flooding along the shore

A coastal storm will keep things cool, breezy and unsettled through the end of the week, with concerns shifting toward tidal flooding along the Delaware River and tidal waterways.
On Wednesday, it will be mostly cloudy and breezy with a high near 68 degrees, while northeast winds gusting around 30 m.p.h. will make it feel cooler at times and cause issues along our shore lines.
We have issued a First Alert for strong wind gusts, coastal flooding and beach erosion.
Thursday stays mostly sunny but cool with a high near 68 degrees, and the persistent northeast wind will continue to push water into tidal areas.
Friday brings a little more sunshine with temperatures near 74 degrees, but another round of coastal flooding is possible around high tide, especially in vulnerable low-lying areas.
The Coastal Flood Advisory for Philadelphia and nearby tidal communities begins on Wednesday night and continues into early Friday, with additional rounds of flooding possible as the coastal low lingers.
