The Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee on Friday convened a meeting of alliance partners to discuss bypoll strategy. Party candidate E. Vinayagam was introduced to the workers of alliance partners at the meeting. Besides leaders of Congress, functionaries of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, Indian Union Muslim League and Neyam Makkal Kazhagam were present on the occasion.

Those who attended the meeting, included AICC in-charge for the Union Territory Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Member of Parliament and Pradesh Congress Committee chief V. Vaithilingam, former Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy, TVK legislator Sai J. Saravanan Kumar and NMK leader G. Nehru alias Couppussamy.
