Roku is rolling out a collection of updates, including a wider release of its homescreen redesign, new “Labs” features, and the ability to bundle streaming service subscriptions to save money.

Available “soon,” Roku Labs is a new way for viewers to test experimental apps on their TV. This includes a new “Roku City Dash” game that was first announced earlier this year, as well as first-party Roku apps for Stocks, Weather, and a customizable “Backdrops Studio” with custom screensaver artwork.

Beyond Labs, Roku is also more widely rolling out its redesigned homescreen. Available first in the US back in May, the updated look is now heading to Brazil and Mexico with some regional tweaks. Roku OS is also getting improved search with smarter, more personalized content recommendations. You can also use voice commands for more than just content, with new capabilities such as showing weather previews.

Roku is also making LT OS, the operating system for its remote, open-source.

Perhaps the biggest new addition, though, is being able to purchase streaming service subscription bundles from Roku. These bundles include “over 30 combinations” using services such as AMC+, Fox One, Starz, and more. Roku says you can save up to 30%.

Users also have the flexibility to easily change their subscriptions anytime, right on their Roku device or online.

Subscription bundles are available in the US and Mexico.
