The safe and reliable supply of medicines, vaccines, and medical devices to people depends on high-performing global supply chains. Pharma logistics offers the movement of temperature-sensitive products. Air cargo is a key component in this process, enabling medical goods to be transported quickly and safely around the world under strictly controlled conditions. Against this backdrop, the international Pharma Logistics Masterclass (PLMC) will take place from September 14 to 17, 2026. The event is organized by Pharma.Aero and the University of Antwerp. In 2026, Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (Frankfurt UAS) is the local host for the first half of the program in Frankfurt, with the first two days taking place on its campus. The four-day masterclass is aimed at strategy and executive-level professionals from the fields of supply chain management, logistics, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences, as well as representatives from academia, business, and government. Participants in the Pharma Logistics Masterclass will explore topics including quality assurance, resilience of global supply chains, innovation in air cargo logistics, and collaboration among the pharmaceutical industry, airports, airlines, and logistics service providers. Lufthansa Cargo and Fraport are supporting the event as local partners in Frankfurt. The technical program at Frankfurt UAS will follow a welcome reception on September 13, 2026, at the Frankfurt Airport Visitors Center. The masterclass will then continue in Antwerp on September 16 and 17.

The event also demonstrates Frankfurt UAS’s extensive expertise in logistics and air cargo. With relevant academic programs and research initiatives, as well as close partnerships with industry, the university has been active for many years at the intersection of academia and practice. In September 2026, Frankfurt UAS will also host the Frankfurt Air Cargo Exchange (ACX) at the House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM), a forum for dialogue between academia and the air cargo industry. In addition, it is a partner of the 11th Air Cargo Conference, which will take place on September 2 and 3, 2026, at Messe Frankfurt – one of the most important industry gatherings in the international air cargo sector.
