In comparison, the ThinkStation P4 (AMD) starts at $1,849 in the US with the same configuration, except in Japan. Alternatively, Lenovo offers its new desktop with the Ryzen 7 PRO 9745, Ryzen 7 PRO 9755, Ryzen 9 PRO 9955, the Ryzen 7 PRO 9755X3D, the Ryzen 9 PRO 9965 or the Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D, the latter of which AMD launched in May.

Additionally, these processors can be complemented with a range of discrete graphics up to and including the Nvidia RTX Pro 5000 Blackwell 48GB (curr. $8,425 on Amazon). Unfortunately, the RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell promised at launch has seemingly been dropped. Likewise, the 72 GB version of the RTX Pro 5000 Blackwell will not officially arrive until the end of September 2026 at the latest.

Setting that aside, the ThinkStation P4 (AMD) can also be configured with up to 256 GB of RAM and 33 TB of storage split across three M.2 drives and dual 3.5-inch HDDs. On top of that, Lenovo sells a 1,100 W Power Supply, what it describes as 'Advanced Liquid Cooling', dual 10 Gbit LAN and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, among other configuration options.
